Get to Know Gary Hixon

An Artist at Heart

With his appreciation of color, texture, line, and exotic whimsy, creating jewelry as art fills many a day in the studio. Gary finds beads, artifacts, and stones in every spot he visits – India, Turkey, Romania, Italy, Mexico, Spain, France, New Mexico, California, Florida, New York.  He likes to travel.

Gary enjoys talking about his work. That means you could gather a group of friends for a visit to the studio and be entertained as you look through the many drawers housing the jewelry. Gary Hixon Designs will host with refreshments if you like.

When not creating jewelry, Gary enjoys his family, his yard, and his causes.

Family consists of wife, Carol Ann, two daughters, two sons-in-law, and two granddaughters. We just might post pictures of them.

The yard is six acres with plentiful parking, patios, and sculptures. Since moving there 40 years ago, the HIxons added spaces and plantings to create a refuge from busy surroundings.

Together Gary and wife Carol Ann serve as ambassadors and advocates for arts and education in their community.
